What the old way is actually costing you

settings_input_antenna

Officers stuck on the radio

12–18 minutes of combined officer and dispatcher time — before a truck moves.

timer

30–45 minutes of roadside wait time

Your officer isn't leaving until the tow is confirmed. That time isn't free — nor safe.

Carbon copies that don't survive

Slips fade, smear, and go missing. No carbon copy holds up in an audit.

Dispatcher bandwidth wasted

Every impound competes with real calls for dispatcher attention.

No visibility — until something goes wrong

The first time you need that data is usually after a complaint.

Less waiting at the roadside. More time on patrol.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does automated tow dispatch work? expand_more
When an officer submits an impound, the system checks the department's configured tow rotation list and sends a digital notification to the next company. The tow company has a configurable window to accept or decline. If they decline or don't respond, the system automatically moves to the next company. Officers see the tow company name and ETA on their mobile app in real time.
What if a tow company doesn't respond? expand_more
The system automatically escalates to the next tow company in the rotation after a configurable timeout period. The entire escalation chain is logged for auditing. If no companies accept, the admin dashboard flags it for manual intervention.
Does the mobile app work offline? expand_more
Yes. Officers can create impound records without connectivity — in parking garages, highways, or areas with poor signal. The app stores data locally and syncs automatically when connectivity returns. No data is lost.
Does this replace our CAD or RMS? expand_more
No. Vehicle Impound is built to integrate with your existing systems. It handles the specific logistics of the impound workflow — tow dispatch, roadside documentation, and rotation management — that CAD systems aren't designed for.
Can we configure our own tow rotation list? expand_more
Yes. Each department configures their own approved tow company list with rotation rules, service areas, and priority settings. The system enforces fair distribution based on your policy.
How long does onboarding take? expand_more
Departments are typically live within weeks, not months. This includes tow rotation setup, user provisioning, SSO integration if required, and staff training.
Where is our data stored? expand_more
Each department gets a fully isolated database in the jurisdiction of their choice. We support sovereign cloud deployments (Azure Canada, AWS Canada) and can accommodate on-premises hosting requirements.
How much does it cost? expand_more
Pricing is tailored to each department's size and requirements. Contact us for a detailed quote — we work within government procurement frameworks.

computer

Web-Based Admin Console

Administrators and impound admin staff manage all records from a browser. Search, filter, update status, and release vehicles without leaving the desk. Real-time status updates from all parties.

local_shipping

Tow Company Portal

Tow operators get their own portal to view assigned impounds, accept or decline jobs, and update vehicle status. No phone calls, no faxes, no guesswork. Digital coordination from dispatch to release.

admin_panel_settings

Role-Based Access Control

Five distinct roles ensure each user sees only what they should. Officers, administrators, impound admin, super admin, and tow company each have tailored permissions with full audit trail.

history

Complete Audit Trail

Every action is logged with who, what, when, and why. Breakglass access requires a reason and is recorded for supervisory review. 100% audit-ready for compliance requirements.

Automated Notifications

Vehicle owners, tow companies, and staff are notified automatically at each stage via email and SMS. No manual follow-ups needed. Everyone stays informed without a single phone call.

How It Works

From roadside to release, fully tracked

1
Mobile App

Officer Creates Impound

On-scene, the officer fills out the digital impound form on their app. Photos, VIN, offence code, and tow company are captured instantly.

2
Automatic

All Parties Notified

The tow company, administrators, and vehicle owner are notified automatically. Everyone is on the same page within seconds.

3
Web Portal

Admin Manages Records

Administrators and impound admin track all active impounds on the web dashboard. Status updates flow in real time from all parties.

4
Web Portal

Vehicle Released

Impound admin authorizes release. The tow company confirms handover. The full lifecycle is recorded and audit-ready.
